Drucilla’s Little Helpers - Coffee Fudge
Welcome to September. This is one of the “ber” months. I say “ber” because it starts getting cooler during those months. You know, when you say “brrr,” it’s cold. And then the “-ary” months get cold.
The fall months are melancholy for me, but I still love this time of the year.
I have noticed recently that there is fall and Halloween merchandise right beside the Christmas stuff. How do you celebrate both occasions? I have to enjoy each one separately.
Here is a recipe for something that would make a good Christmas gift. Gifts from the kitchen are also gifts from the heart.
I didn’t get to make a new batch of fudge for the picture because I am taking a vacation at this bed and breakfast in Cookeville. But you don’t get to rest much in the bed because every hour or so someone will come into your room to take your blood pressure or make sure you haven’t fallen.
The food could use more salt and seasoning, but the folks who wear those uniforms and white coats are very kind and caring.
If you’ve not figured it out yet, I am in the hospital.
I am feeling better, so maybe I’ll be home in a day or two. I didn’t have a new picture to go with the column. I don’t think the hospital would let me use their kitchen.
It is very good fudge.
I must go. I see a nurse coming.
