Letters to the Editor


At Highlands Insider, we believe in giving our readers a voice. Letters to the editor offer a chance for thoughtful, respectful dialogue on issues that matter to our community. We welcome opinions, praise, concerns, and ideas—with a focus on clarity, civility, and relevance.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Length: Letters should be 300 words or fewer.

  • Topics: Letters must relate to local issues, current events, or topics of interest to our readership.

  • Civility: No profanity, personal attacks, or libelous content will be accepted.

  • Frequency: To ensure fairness, writers may submit one letter per month.

  • Verification: All letters must include the writer’s full name, city of residence, and a valid phone number or email for verification. Contact info will not be published.

  • Edits: We reserve the right to edit for clarity, length, grammar, and legal reasons.

  • Publication: Submission does not guarantee publication. Letters are published at the discretion of the editor.
